Happy Easter! With Eli + CJ

Little CJ, along with his big brother, Eli, are constant little rays of sunshine for us. With CJ doing his one year of the Sprout Up package, we get to see both their little faces every three months, and sometimes for special events and holidays. This time, we did some sweet Easter portraits with them, complete with bunnies, baskets, and easter eggs. What an adorable little pair of brothers! Happy Easter, Eli and CJ!

Nathalie + Todd | Round Two!

Since the first half of Nathalie and Todd's engagement session was in the extremely chilly winter months (10 degrees outside during a winter storm!), we went ahead and split the session half and half so that we could do some portraits for them during the warm spring weather. This time, we stayed in Lawrence for their session, running around downtown, through various parks, and up and down alleyways. As always, we had a blast with them!

Tess + Julian

Meet Tess, a modern day Mayan beauty, and her breathtakingly adorable son [and amateur photographer], Julian. When we first got to know Tess and Julian, Tess was choosing between internships for her design skills and needed head shots to send in for each option. Instead of looking for the run of the mill, boring old head shots, she wanted something that was more modern and showed more of her personality.

So, we wandered around through downtown, stopping by some of our favorite places for drinks and snacks and let her stay in her natural element. Her beauty can really take your breath away.

In addition to just doing head shots for Tess, she wanted some shots of her and Julian together as well. High on energy and even higher in handsomeness, Julian has heard suggestions more than once that he become a model for his future profession. This has led him to tell everyone he meets that his plan for the future is to become a 'professional poser'.

Incredibly charming, and a real shutterbug himself, taking the time to do some fun mother-son shots with the help of Julian's suggestions along the way was absolute non-stop entertainment. A miniature creative genius and adorable to boot, he certainly lit up in front of the camera.

At the end of our evening wandering through downtown, playing in the park, and grabbing ice cream together, we only had one last thing on our agenda: to hang around Tess and Julian more often.

{Kasher}

Our good friends, Mike and Jen, have a sweet little prince named Kasher. Instant best friends with our son, Miles, Kasher never ceases to warm our hearts and turn a bad day into something beautiful. Of course, after this trip to the park, we made sure to sneak him a few cookies to thank him for keeping us company. With bright blue eyes and a smile to brighten any day, we're happy to have this little guy in our lives.

{Brayden}

The adorable little bundle of joy came in for a lovely studio session and really made our day! Brayden is truly precious, and was even sweet enough to take a nap for us so that we had time to get some sleepy shots of him. Mom and dad were great, and our day was made just a little more wonderful by this fantastic family.

{Nathalie + Todd}

Nathalie and Todd, one of the happily engaged Lawrence couples of 2010, were brave enough to persevere through the incredible cold this winter and do beautiful winter engagements on the Plaza in Kansas City. This will be the first half of their engagement session, and the other half will be when spring makes for a less chilly outdoor environment so that the couple can explore the KU campus during the second half of their engagement session.

Full of fun and laughter, Nathalie and Todd will be tying the knot on April 26th this year, and we are pleased as punch that we get the chance to help them preserve the memories of their continuously growing love for each other. Congratulations to Nathalie and Todd, and we are honored to be a part of your wedding!

{Eli + CJ}

Little Eli and CJ came in for their third round of Sprout Up portraits, and we had so much fun! It's always wonderful to watch how little ones grow during their Sprout Ups, and at the 6 month mark, CJ sure has gotten bigger! What a lovely thing to watch babies grow, learn, and change, and big brother Eli is sure to be one of the best big brothers a little boy could hope for. The brotherly love between these two handsome little sweethearts certainly can't be denied!
